ART LABS FOR KIDS (Ages 6-10 and 11-16)
Art Labs are a space for youth to explore painting, drawing, printmaking, bookbinding, and art history in a supportive, engaging environment that balances skill-building with imagination. Art Labs are structured enough to learn and open enough to explore. Come make art and make new friends!
Taught by artist and long-time teacher Kirsten DeBoer at her new studio located in downtown Fairfax: studio kiki. These small groups will gather in the studio ‘lab’ to make art and build community.
ART LABS FOR ADULTS (Ages 17 and Up)
Art Labs creative workshops for adults focused on helping you drop into the ‘flow’—the zone where making feels natural, absorbing, and alive. The work has a way of extending beyond the studio into how you think, feel, and move through your life.
This is about process over product and attention over perfection. Come learn how to access the state where creativity actually happens. Get creative in the lab, build community and explore materials. Wake up the artist that lives inside of you!
